Governments at every level, with help from their media allies, have vilified the Freedom Convoy. Using labels like terrorists, militants and mercenaries to conjure images of violent men, they have convinced a large part of the nation that the movement, started by truckers, is an act of war against our nation.
The biggest execution of the right to peaceful protest is taking place in the nation's capital and spreading around the world like wildfire.
Make no mistake, it is a peaceful protest. There haven't been any incidents of violence and the worst of the vandalism has been committed by uppity residents and big-government sycophants against the truckers and their supporters.
However peaceful, this is the first battle in a cold war of class, and power-hungry politicians are aware. Traditional media is less enlightened.
The truckers who first came, the farmers who followed and the coming miners and tradespeople are almost exclusively private sector, a shrinking minority in Canada and worldwide. They are not a fringe though.
Less than a third of this country works in the private sector, yet government tax revenue is wholly private sector derived. No country is sustainable with such a small private sector ratio.
Sure, taxes are deducted from public sector salaries and social safety-net cheques, but those taxes are recycled government revenue taken from the private sector. Those taxes are deducted to give the illusion that the dependent class is worthy of voting.
There are few natural resources in urban areas, most of which come from rural communities who are outnumbered four to one by their urban counterparts. The most active participants in the Freedom Convoy are also rural.
And, this is where democracy, true democracy, fails. In any true democracy, the minority is oppressed by the majority. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and New Democrat Party Leader Jagmeet Singh have called the Freedom Convoy racist and misogynistic, knowing full well that Canadian defamation laws mean that they can't be sued by a large group.
Trudeau, Singh, Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson and the like are allowed to lie and degrade the convoy with impunity because of our laws. Don't think they don't know it.
In a majority white country, however, democracy is inherently white supremacist. Freedom is the only equalizer.
Canada, the US and other countries are considered Western democracies, not true democracies. They are constitutional republics or monarchies. Whether it be a tin circlet or a piece of cloth, our social contract with our government is that we grant them sovereignty in exchange for our natural rights.
The contract is being violated by the government for personal gains.
Don't believe that the citizens of Ottawa are against the Freedom Convoy, only the “classically educated” believe they are in the wrong or somehow criminal.
Hundreds of thousand of people have come to support the movement the truckers started, the truckers being the class war cavalry. Amongst the supporter are many public servants who have been fired by illegal mandates or not so stupid to bite the hand that feeds them.
Many of those public servants have listened to their supervisors, managers and co-workers wish harm on the unvaccinated. Meanwhile they have loved ones who haven't been injected.
The most important lesson from this protest is, “Don't bite the hand that feeds you.”
The government, whether by employment or social program, has given you nothing. Everything was given by the private sector, and the least any Canadian can do is allow and support their fight for basic human rights and freedoms.
I've always hated the term un-Canadian. It sounds like a way to silence diversity throughout the land. But, failing to support the private sector who ultimately feeds, clothes and houses this country; and, failing to support the Freedom Convoy, which is fighting for the basic human rights of everyone... well, that is un-Canadian.
